She pointed out how some people were pointing at a breastfeeding mother as if they've never seen a boob.
Because - GOD FORBID ANYONE SEES A NIPPLE.
WE ALL HAVE THEM PEOPLE!
As a breastfeeding mama - I so appreciated that.
I have never been scorned at for breastfeeding,
but it angers me that some breastfeeding mums are disrespected in such a way.
No disrespect to parents who formula-feed their babies. But some people ACTUALLY THINK formula is better for baby because well, it's man made. Breastfeeding is scientifically proven to be best for baby. P.S This is a fact, not an opinion. #jussayin
And for people to make breastfeeding mums feel uncomfortable because they are FEEDING their baby is just PURE IGNORANCE. And don't start with telling me they could pump out the milk and feed the baby through a bottle. If you're not making their life better and shoving your ignorance down your throat why should they ?

Your dead right hunny I was listening to a local radio chat show the other day and this woman was on the phone giving out that women just pop out their boobs in public to feed their babies it's a disgrace . I have seen women breast feeding and they do have the boob well covered up you bearly see anything yet people have to give out just cause she is sitting their feeding her baby . That breast pump is something some woman do do but some babies don't like bottles full spot so what's the point pure ignorance is right
ReplyDeleteEven if the boob's fully exposed - I don't do that but U don't judge anyone who does - she's just feeding her baby not doing it out of being indecent. I hate pumping out - it takes so long to get a little out and you need to find time with extra milk so that you don't stimulate your breasts to provide more than needed and you need to sanitize the whole lot every time and then make sure the breast milk is refrigerated the whole time because it can go off real quick.. I just hate how people don't realise that a woman feeding her baby is not equal to a topless girl... and it's so rude that some people make a mum feel uncomfortable..
